How to Order

A short guide to placing an order with Axetec — adding to basket, choosing your country, paying, and what happens next.

Ordering steps

  1. 1

    Add to basket

Browse the site, find the parts you want, and click Add to Basket on each product page.

  2. 2

    Choose your country

When you place the first item in your basket, you'll be asked to select your country from the drop-down. The next page shows the appropriate shipping charges and calculates the correct tax for your location.

  3. 3

    Pay securely online

You can pay with PayPal, or with a Mastercard / Visa credit or debit card — all processed securely online by RomanCart.

  4. 4

    We despatch your order

Orders placed before 11 a.m. (Mon–Fri, exc. Bank Holidays) are usually despatched the same day. UK orders over £50 ship free.

What happens after you order

We always send an automatic order confirmation email as soon as your order is completed. If you don't see it in your inbox, please check your junk / spam folder.

You'll receive a despatch confirmation by the same method as soon as your package is on its way.

EU customers — post-Brexit VAT

When you place an order from an EU country, 20% VAT is deducted from your order at our checkout. This reduces the price you pay when you place your order (before Brexit, 20% VAT would have been added).

In line with EU regulations, VAT and any appropriate duty / processing fees will be charged by the courier when your package is ready for delivery. This is usually reasonable, but it is the customer's responsibility to research local charges so there are no unexpected extra expenses on receipt.

Although this is a change to the way VAT was levied before Brexit, we believe it does not represent a significant increase to the overall price paid by our friends in the EU.

Common questions

How quickly will my order be despatched?

Orders placed before 11.00 a.m. Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) are usually despatched the same day. Orders placed after the cut-off, at the weekend, or on a Bank Holiday are despatched the next working day.

What couriers do you use?

UK orders are shipped by Royal Mail or FedEx. EU orders go via FedEx or DHL. Worldwide orders go via Royal Mail, DHL or FedEx. The available options and prices appear at checkout once you've chosen your country.

Do you offer free UK shipping?

Yes. Free shipping is available to UK mainland and Northern Ireland on all orders over £50. The free option is selectable at checkout.

How does VAT work for EU customers after Brexit?

When you place an order from an EU country, 20% VAT is deducted from the shown prices at our checkout — so the price you pay falls. In line with EU regulations, your local VAT plus any duty / processing fees are then collected by the courier when the package is ready for delivery. The administration fee charged by the courier or its local agent is usually reasonable, but it's the customer's responsibility to research local charges.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay with PayPal, or with a Mastercard or Visa credit / debit card. Payments are processed securely online by RomanCart. We do not accept cash, cheque or postal order.

Will I get an order confirmation email?

Yes — we send an automatic order-confirmation email as soon as your order is completed, and a despatch-confirmation email when your package leaves us. If you don't see them in your inbox, please check your junk / spam folder first; they sometimes land there on their first delivery to a new address.

Do you ship outside the UK and EU?

Yes — we ship worldwide via Royal Mail, DHL or FedEx. 20% VAT is deducted at checkout for non-UK orders. Local taxes, duty and any administration fees may be charged by the courier on delivery.
